Online sales picking up in India

With ECommerce options offering cost effective alternative to the traditional shopping and also providing the shoppers an easy way to order from anywhere and to any destination of their choice, the online sales have caught up big time.

Options for sending gifts worldwide are helping people stay connected with their loved ones. For eg. an online perfume selling website, www.perfume2order.com is a great hit among people of all age groups. NRIs staying abroad find it easy to use and frequently use it for sending perfume gifts back home. Perfume lovers keep this added in their list of favourites and keep checking it out for new perfumes and offers coming up. If it your 25th anniversary, pampering your wife with 25 perfumes can be great gifting option. Though it might be too expensive an option for the 50th of most of us..!!

Websites like these not only offer you great range but also a great value for money. Since they do not have the overheads of running the shop, they are generally able to invest more money in more diverse product range and also extend discounts to their customers. Also getting your stuff home delivered saves one from the big hassle of driving down in the jams..

Gurgaon power problem continues

Power woes in Gurgaon continue without any solution in sight. There is a lot of anxiety in the administration regarding diesel generators placed by small time entrepreneurs on government land outside their buildings and guardians of the law of the land are always on the field to cease these machines all the time.

Agreed, this is encroachment and also the generators cause pollution, but at the same time this is a necessary evil and the worst effected by the pollution caused are the people who have installed them and they are themselves not at all keen on using them. Generators are costlier source of power, so they do not make any business sense also. No Businessman wants to use them!!

The administration needs to focus on providing regular power supply that will remove the root cause of the existence of generators, instead of playing a spoil sport with the already struggling SMEs who are doing a great job of generating employment, generating revenue, bring FOREX and making the country prosperous in the tough global economy.

SEO for Outsourcing Business

With the global economic downturn, the need for cost cutting in operations is at an all time high and companies in developed nations are looking towards offshore outsourcing setups in the developing countries where manpower cost is drastically low.

In the above context, internet search engines have assumed an extremely significant role. The fight for top rankings on Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN etc. is now at its peak for key phrases like Offshore Outsourcing, BPO, Business Process Outsourcing, Inbound Call Center, Offshore Help Desk and so on. Also specialized services like financial accounting outsourcing are gathering momentum

Organic SEO service companies are working full throttle to meet the new challenges brought about by the global developments. The responsibility of an SEO company is not anymore confined to just achieving top results on Search Engines but to also ensure high conversion rate from the traffic coming to the website.  Hence SEO firms with expertise in Web Designing are in greater demand as compared to firms confined to being just SEO companies. Designing web pages in such a way that they effectively invite a visitor to place an online enquiry is all the more critical. If a prospect has reached the website and does not give an enquiry, his visit becomes a waste and the ROI from money invested on SEO goes down!

The solution is Cold Chain not vandalism...

The outburst against big Retail Chains selling better quality of Fruits and Vegetables at very competitive prices is a result of ignorant polity who is not addressing the problem correctly.
What India needs today is a proper Cold Chain network that enables refrigirated transport of Fruits, Vegetables and live stock. Cold Chain infrastructure reduces in-transit decay of raw food items drastically and helps bring down the effective cost to the cosumer. A good Cold chain network is what enables the big Retail Chains to sell at lower prices and also they are able to provide better quality as the fruits and vegetables retain their fressness due to low storage temperatures that curtail growth of bacteria.
If our Politicians can bring a Cold Chain revolution in the stock supply network of the roadside vendor, these vendors, with their very low operational overheads can easily give the big time chains a run for their money.
Just breaking down a few stores is not in the long term interest of anybody. The Cold Chain revolution, if it happens, will be something on the lines of Dr. Kurien's Operation Flood (http://www.nddb.org/aboutnddb/operationflood.html) and offer a sustainable solution to

a) Keep our roadside vegetable and Fruit Vendor competitive inspite of the Retail Boom

b) Save Fruits and Vegetables from decay, just ensuring an increased supply that can be made available at very competitive pricing thus extending the reach of good quality food to the poor and needy.
